About this Role

The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer is a Chattanooga-based nonprofit organization handling many events and services both locally and nationally. They are looking for an intern interested in utilizing their creativity and fine-tuning their skills in graphic design.

This person should be artistic, versatile, and eager to work with a wide range of media to support the communications of the organization. It is essential that applicants for this position are comfortable working with both print and electronic media, thrive in a team environment, are able to multi-task, demonstrate a high level of creativity, and understand the importance of attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare fliers, posters, and web base material for events. 
  • Create marketing materials for programs and services as needed.
  • Develop social media graphics for events, general awareness, and unique items.
  • Assist with the development and updating of annual items for the website and media kit.
  • Assist with looking ahead to the next year and creating web, social media, and posters.
  • Promote the company’s vision and create awareness for the foundation.
  • Taking photos at various programs and events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Only accepting applications for Summer 2025 & Fall 2025.

  • This is a paid internship.
  • Must be able to work in office at least 2 days a week. Work from home available based on student's internship requirements and AHF hours of operation
    • Location: 1705 S. Holtzclaw Ave, Chattanooga, Tennessee, 37404
  • PC Desktop provided, but bringing a personal laptop is strongly recommended.
  • Must have strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, & InDesign.
  • Working Knowledge of DSLR Camera Operation, Photo Editing, Adobe AfterEffects, Premiere and HTML/Web Design.
  • Interns cannot work more than 32 hours per week.
