- Cooke, Darnell, Trujillo Latest Hires for Growing Organization
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 15, 2020) – Three individuals have joined the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer staff. Rita Cooke is the foundation’s new Front Desk Coordinator, Haleigh Darnell is the Assistant to the President, and Nick Trujillo is the foundation’s new Communications Coordinator.
Cooke received her A.S. in Court and Conference Reporting from Chattanooga State Technical College and has a demonstrated history working in secretary and administrative roles. She is responsible for supporting clinical and administrative functions including scheduling appointments, updating patient charts, and maintaining the donor management system.
Darnell is a 2018 UT-Chattanooga graduate, earning a B.S. in Early Childhood: Child and Family Studies. Prior to joining the foundation, she was a child care teacher in Hendersonville, Tenn. and a patient support specialist at a local physical therapy clinic. Darnell will work closely with the foundation’s president to manage the president’s schedule and travel, create proposals and reports, and support partnership efforts.
Trujillo is a 2016 graduate of UT-Chattanooga with a B.A. in Communication. Since graduating, he has held two marketing coordinator positions with Bledsoe Telephone Cooperative and the UT-Chattanooga Housing and Resident Life department. Trujillo will work closely with the foundation’s development manager to support all communication, marketing, and graphic design efforts needed to evangelize the foundation’s mission to erase the effects of childhood cancer.
“By expanding our administrative staff, we’re able to have even more people working to grow the foundation’s presence on a local, regional, and national level,” said foundation President Amy Jo Osborn. “We’re fortunate to have these talented individuals on our team to help us expand our mission and provide an outstanding experience for our patients.”
