Austin Hatcher Foundation Receives ‘Hatch’s Giving Tree’ Donation From EMJ Corporation
- EMJ Joins Annual AHF Fundraising Initiative, Facilitates Nearly $2,000 in Donations
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Jan. 15, 2018) – EMJ Corporation’s first-time involvement in the “Hatch’s Giving Tree,” an annual fundraising initiative benefiting the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer, has resulted in cash and gift donations totaling nearly $2,000.
EMJ Chief Operating Officer Doug Martin presented Austin Hatcher Foundation President Amy Jo Osborn and Family Service Coordinator Abriana Busbee with the donations on Jan. 12 at EMJ’s Chattanooga, Tennessee headquarters.
“The Austin Hatcher Foundation is a phenomenal organization that provides a unique service to those impacted by pediatric cancer,” said Doug Martin, COO, EMJ Corporation. “On behalf of our people, we are honored to assist this organization in its important and life-changing work.”
Employees at EMJ offices were able to choose an ornament from office Christmas trees and fulfill donation requests listed on the ornaments. Each ornament represented specific needs for children and their family members who receive services from the Austin Hatcher Foundation. The foundation provides a variety of innovative services free of charge.
“EMJ got involved and then really got behind our efforts during the 2017 holiday season,” Osborn said. “And not only did their local office contribute, we also received donations from EMJ’s offices in Boston and Dallas. That was especially gratifying to see such support from outside our area.”
Founded in 1968, EMJ is a family of construction services companies that has built more than 280 million square feet of construction projects across the nation. Recently, EMJ was ranked #69 out of the Top 400 Contractors in the nation by Engineering News-Record.
“EMJ is an established entity that we are proud to have a relationship with here in our community,” Osborn said. “Our core support comes from this region. EMJ makes that support base stronger.”
