Austin Hatcher Foundation to unveil Custom “Keiki" Roadster at SEMA Show
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (November 2,2021) – SEMA Cares Charity, Austin Hatcher Foundation and the Kawasaki Family will be unveiling a custom Roadster on November 2, 2021 at the SEMA Show.
This project build began with a Factory Five Mark IV Roadster kit, which resembles the look of the legendary 427 Cobra. Keeping its essence intact, the build has modern technology, parts, and materials to improve performance and comfort.
Finished in Ford Guardsman Blue with Ford Wimbledon White Stripes exterior, the Roadster features FORD Performance 347 cubic inch Street Cruiser Crate Engine – Edelbrock EFI, Tremec TKX 5-Speed Transmission, Moser Differential, and Halibrand Replica 17” Wheels. The custom paint was applied by AkzoNobel Coating Inc. using Sikken Paint Product.
What makes this custom Coupe so special are the hands that helped - the children and young adult cancer patients and survivors.
This custom Roadster was a part of the Austin Hatcher Foundation’s Industrial Arts Program. The Industrial Arts, STEM program serves a multipurpose function; first to introduce and educate a STEM-based trade, second to treat and improve coordination deficits, behavior, memory, learning and many other deficits as results of childhood cancer.
