Amy Jo Osborn Appointed to Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (July 22, 2024)- The Austin Hatcher Foundation is delighted to announce that its CEO, Amy Jo Osborn, has been voted to the Board of Directors of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce. This prestigious appointment recognizes Osborn's outstanding leadership and the remarkable achievements of the Foundation under her guidance.
Under Osborn's leadership, the Austin Hatcher Foundation has seen a 360% growth in the last three years. This financial success has enabled the Foundation to expand its services, providing $4.5 million in free care in 2023 to families affected by pediatric cancer and their entire family.
The Austin Hatcher Foundation is the region’s only psycho-social facility dedicated to treating the entire family affected by pediatric cancer. By focusing on survivorship, the Foundation is ahead of its time, paving the road for holistic comprehensive care that addresses the emotional, social, and psychological needs of patients and their families.
Osborn has spearheaded numerous initiatives, improving operational effectiveness and efficiency. Her leadership has also been instrumental in a successful Capital Campaign, annual income, expansion of the Foundation's national footprint, and the development of strategic partnerships and donor stewardship plans.
"We are incredibly honored to have Amy Jo Osborn join the Board of Directors of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce," said Jay Dale, Chairman of the Board. "Her vision and dedication to improving the lives of families affected by pediatric cancer make her a valuable addition to our board."
Under Osborn's leadership, the Foundation has achieved significant milestones, including becoming the official “Proud Charity” of the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) and an “Official Charity” of the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA). Her dedication to the Foundation's mission has earned her numerous accolades, such as the 2022 Nonprofit Leader of the Year Celebrate Award from the United Way of Greater Chattanooga, the 2021 #SheIsSEMA award, and the 2018 Tennessee Governor’s Volunteer Stars award. Additionally, she and her husband were recognized as a CityScope Magazine Power Couple in 2019, and she was honored as Humanitarian of the Year by her alma mater, Samford University, in 2017.
"I am deeply honored to be voted into the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors,” said Osborn. “This opportunity to serve and contribute to our vibrant community alongside such distinguished leaders is truly humbling. I look forward to working together to further our mission of fostering growth, innovation, economic development, and prosperity in Chattanooga.”
